Belema oil donates 30 blocks of flats to Nigerian Army

A Rivers State based indigenous oil company, Belemaoil, has donated 30 blocks of flats to the 16 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Bayelsa State.

The donation is for the lower ranks at the division. President and Founder of Belemaoil Producing Ltd, Jack-Rich Tein Jr, made the donation during the ground breaking ceremony of the 16 Brigade Camp in Yenagoa.

Tein Jr also announced a scholarship award of N150,000 each to 300 children of the Nigerian Army men and officials who lost their lives during peace keeping missions in Niger Delta and the Northeast, amounting to about N45m per annum.

“It’s a great honour for our humble selves to be here today and this is the second project that Belemaoil is doing. The last was a 100 bed hostel space at Elele.

“I thought it is important for Belemaoil to be part of this project that will motivate the Nigerian Army. I, on behalf of my company hereby pronounce the award of 300 scholarships at N150,000 each, amounting to N45million per annum, for the servicemen and women who paid the ultimate price in the Northeast and in the Niger Delta

“Belemaoil has decided to take over the construction of 30 units Corporal and below quarters for the Camp Burutai,” he said.
