Residents cry out over alleged plans to sell basketball court in Elekahia Estate

Residents of Elekahia housing estate in Port Harcourt have cried out over the alleged plans to sell off the civil basketball court in the estate.

They said that if the plans are true, they will resist it as the court is the Civil Basketball facility open to the general public in the whole of Rivers State.

According to them, they already lost the estate’s park to FSP housing which has brought untold hardship and will not lose the basketball court.

Those who spoke to theportcitynews on the matter said that it is very fair of the government to plan on selling off the basketball court.

They called on those behind the alleged plans to rescind the decision or face the wrath of the residents.
