Nigerian-Canadian Professor reportedly among the victims of the Ethiopian Airline flight

A Nigerian-Canadian Professor of English and French at the Carlton University in Canada, Pius Adesamni has reportedly died in the Ethiopian Airline flight with 157 passengers on board that crashed earlier today.

There have been tributes to him by close friends on social media, although the manifest of the plane is not yet made public.

The plane on a normal scheduled flight from Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital to Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, crashed few minutes after take off, killing all passengers and crew on board.

Adesamni, an indigene of Kogi State is well known on social media for his criticism of government policies.

He also wrote weekly articles for online newspapers Sahara Reporters and Premium Times.
