Soldiers arrest 4 for ballot box snatching in Ubima

A team of Nigeria Army personnel have arrested four suspected thugs for snatching ballot boxes in the minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s home town, Ubima.

The incident happened at ward 4 and 12 in Ubima, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Ward 4 is Amaechi’s polling unit.

Trouble started immediately Amaechi left having cast his vote before some thugs numbering about 10 invaded the polling unit and carted away the ballot boxes.

Soldiers in the area chased the hoodlums amidst heavy shooting and arrested four of them, although they were not able to recover the snatched ballot boxes.
