Abe blames police for the APC’s presidential rally stampede

The Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Magnus Abe, has blamed police officers drafted to the Adokiye Ameisemaka stadium for the stampede that occurred yesterday.

At least 18 persons have died from the stampede while over 30 persons were injured.

MAGNUS ABE who commiserated with the families of those that lost their lives during the APC presidential rally at the Adokiye Amaesimaka stadium on stated that the stampede was avoidable.

He stated that the overzealousness of the security agencies at the rally venue contributed to the stampede that led to the death of party faithful.

Magnus Abe also prayed for God to give the families of the lost ones to bear the loss,
