The President of the Ogoni Liberation Initiative and Chief Executive Officer of Nwinnabu Electric Tricycle, Dr Fabeke Douglas, has unveiled the electric tricycle in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, announcing that more than 50,000 units have been produced locally.
The unveiling ceremony took place recently at Exchullen Heights Hotel, attracting stakeholders and supporters interested in cleaner transportation and renewable energy.
Speaking at the event, Fabeke said the tricycle was ready to meet growing demand in Nigeria and across Africa.
“We’ve already produced over 50,000 units of the Nwinnabu electric tricycle in Rivers State,” he said.
He described the innovation as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional fuel-powered transportation, which contributes to air pollution.
The South-South Regional Manager of Access Bank also expressed support for the initiative, noting that investment in renewable energy aligns with the bank’s vision.
