Rangers International chief executive officer Amobi Ezeaku has expressed confidence that the Nigerian champions will overcome MC Alger and advance in the CAF Champions League.
The Enugu-based club head into Sunday’s second-leg encounter in Algiers with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg of their second preliminary-round tie.
The return fixture will take place at the Stade Ali Ammar, where Rangers will seek to protect their lead and secure progression to the next round.
Ezeaku has urged the team to maintain its fighting spirit, insisting that the club will give its best in the decisive encounter.
“Forged for the fight, built for the storm, and unbreakable in spirit — whatever stands before Rangers, we march towards it, never back down, never surrender. NEVER SAY DIE!” Ezeaku wrote on his official Facebook page.
He also recalled a promise to give everything for the club, expressing confidence that the team would make its supporters proud.
“I made a promise when we came here – to give our all. For three years we’ve done that. And there’s one moment. This moment. It defines our future,” he said.
Addressing the club’s supporters and other believers in the team, Ezeaku added: “You’ll be happy and proud on the night. Nothing matters anymore. We win or we win!”
Rangers will now look to translate their first-leg advantage into a positive result in Algeria as they pursue qualification in Africa’s premier club competition.
