Anthony Joshua has reportedly moved ahead of Tyson Fury in the financial stakes ahead of their expected heavyweight showdown.
Joshua is reportedly worth £240m, while Fury’s net worth has been estimated at £162m.
The figures were reported by UK media, citing the Sunday Times Rich List.
Joshua’s reported wealth includes earnings from boxing and a range of commercial ventures through his business company, 258 Investments.
The former two-time world heavyweight champion is also reported to have a sizeable property portfolio.
According to the report, Joshua owns properties valued at about £200m. His portfolio includes homes in North London and Watford, as well as a penthouse apartment in Oman.
Fury, meanwhile, is reported to own an £8m property on the Isle of Man.
The financial figures have emerged ahead of the anticipated all-British heavyweight clash between Joshua and Fury.
The bout is expected to take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with a reported purse of £150m to be shared between the two fighters.
Joshua could therefore earn a significant sum from the contest, regardless of the result, depending on the final terms of the agreement.
Joshua and Fury have been linked with a long-awaited meeting for several years. Their proposed clash would bring together two of Britain’s biggest heavyweight boxing names.
For now, Joshua has the reported financial advantage, with his estimated wealth significantly higher than Fury’s.
However, the figures are estimates and do not determine what happens inside the boxing ring.
