Beneficiaries of Senator Allwell Heacho Onyesoh’s employment initiative have publicly thanked the Senator by mounting giant billboards at strategic locations across the Rivers East Senatorial District. The development was announced in a statement to GIC Media Solutions, signed by Engr. Tos Chima Anele, coordinator of the beneficiary group, on behalf of the group.
According to the statement, billboards were erected in locations including the Obiri Ikwerre and Igwuruta axes, carrying the message: “RE-ELECT SENATOR ALLWELL ONYESOH FOR SENATE 2027 FOR RIVERS EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT,” under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.
The group, known as The Octopus Employment Beneficiaries, described the campaign as a gesture of gratitude for employment opportunities and other support they attribute to Senator Onyesoh.
In their message, they thanked him for giving them “a lifetime opportunity to provide for our families and make a meaningful difference” in their lives, adding that the opportunities had helped many of them support their households, improve their livelihoods, and regain hope, something they said they don’t take for granted.
The beneficiaries referred to Onyesoh as their “Leader and Benefactor” and indicated they intend to continue showing appreciation through further initiatives, including additional packages they plan to roll out going forward.
The group said its members are drawn from all eight local government areas in the Rivers East Senatorial District — Obio/Akpor, Etche, Ikwerre, Emohua, Port Harcourt City, Okrika, Ogu/Bolo, and Omuma.
The billboards have drawn significant public attention, circulating widely on social media with photos and videos generating discussion. The campaign comes amid growing political activity ahead of the 2027 general elections, as various groups publicly stake out positions on prospective candidates.
