The Rivers State Ministry of Education has announced the release of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination, BECE, results for schools across the state.
The announcement, signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Mina Tele Ikuru, on behalf of the Commissioner for Education, states that both public and private schools can now access their students’ results.
According to the Ministry, heads of schools are expected to log on to the Rivers State Education Management Information System, RIVEMIS, portal at rivemis.riversstate.gov.ng from Friday, September 18, 2026, to access their respective results.

The Ministry said the date for the collection of hard-copy BECE certificates would be communicated later.
It assured schools that the certificates would be issued to both public and private schools free of charge.
The Ministry urged heads of schools, education stakeholders and other concerned parties to take note of the release date and follow the required procedures for accessing the results.
The BECE is a key examination for pupils completing basic education and serves as an important requirement for progression to the next level of secondary education.
The Ministry encouraged schools to ensure that the results are properly accessed and communicated to the affected students and their parents or guardians.
