The Amanyanabo of the Source, Da Amakiri Tubo, Alhaji Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo-Asari, has rejected allegations that Royal Fouche Security Services operates as an army of occupation or is involved in land grabbing in Rivers State.
The monarch described the accusations by the Udekama Council of Chiefs as provocative, insisting that he had been wrongly dragged into a longstanding land dispute between neighbouring communities.
Dokubo-Asari said the dispute existed long before his involvement and that he was not a party to the court cases concerning the disputed land. “I have never claimed ownership of the land in question,” he said.
He traced the latest controversy to developments in Obuama in 2020, when the community began implementing a five-year development plan involving the allocation of community land for development.

According to him, residents of Usokun challenged the development in court. Obuama later suspended the project to allow the legal process to run its course and avoid further tension.
The monarch also questioned the allegation that Royal Fouche was an army of occupation, challenging those making the claim to identify any land allegedly seized by the security company.
He said the firm had provided security services across communities in four local government areas for about four years, helping to reduce kidnapping and armed robbery along the Emohua/Kalabari corridor and surrounding waterways.
Dokubo-Asari called for the allegations to be investigated through lawful processes and welcomed the Rivers State Government’s proposed judicial panel of inquiry.
“If there is evidence of wrongdoing, let the evidence be produced,” he said.
