The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old woman, Anulika Onyeanusia, over an alleged child sexual abuse and pornography case in Onitsha.
The arrest followed the circulation of a disturbing video allegedly involving the suspect and a minor, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
Ikenga said the suspect was arrested on September 10, 2026, after police operatives acted on open-source intelligence concerning the trending video.
He said the suspect reportedly claimed during questioning that the videos were generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
Police operatives also rescued four children, aged two, three, six and nine, during the operation and recovered items relevant to the investigation.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigators probe the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence and determine whether other individuals were involved.
Ikenga added that the woman’s husband is also being interrogated to establish whether he had any connection to the alleged offence.
The police said investigations are ongoing.
