Port Harcourt is set for a major entertainment takeover this Independence as Jameson Distillery makes its debut in the Garden City from October 1 to 3, bringing three days of music, games, creative experiences and whiskey culture to the city.
The experience, which will take place at Yakubu Gowon Stadium, marks the first time Jameson Distillery is coming to Port Harcourt, adding another major event to the city’s increasingly busy entertainment calendar.
Rather than a conventional concert, the three-day experience is designed around different forms of entertainment each day. October 1 will feature a skating and music experience powered by Plus2.34 and Voltage District, while October 2 will focus on games and social activities under The Playground: Bond & Connect Games. The final day, October 3, will bring the Whetlvnd Waterpark Experience.

Attendees are to expect interactive whiskey tastings, exclusive merchandise, food experiences, and other creative installations, giving the event a lifestyle component beyond music and nightlife.
For Port Harcourt, the timing is significant. The event falls during the Independence holiday period, traditionally one of the busiest periods on Nigeria’s entertainment calendar, when concerts, parties and lifestyle events compete for the attention of young Nigerians.
The arrival of Jameson Distillery also comes as Port Harcourt continues to position itself as a serious destination for entertainment and creative experiences. With the city already hosting major cultural and music events, the Jameson experience adds another international-backed brand activation to the mix.
