Paris FC Cruise Past Nice as Rosenior Secures First Ligue 1 Win

Paris FC continued their impressive home form with a convincing 3-0 victory over OGC Nice, giving manager Liam Rosenior his first Ligue 1 win since taking charge during the summer.

The two sides played out a closely contested opening, but Paris FC were handed the opportunity to break the deadlock midway through the first half.

Ilan Kebbal went down in the box after a clumsy challenge from Youssouf Ndayishimiye, and despite strong protests from Nice that the defender had won the ball, the penalty was awarded. Lassine Sinayoko stepped up and confidently converted to score his first goal for the club since joining from Auxerre.

Nice enjoyed spells of possession but struggled to create clear chances. Nathan Ngoumou came closest with an effort that narrowly missed the target, while Paris FC comfortably protected their lead going into half-time.

The hosts doubled their advantage six minutes after the restart. Samir Chergui won possession high up the pitch before Kebbal produced a superb reverse pass, allowing Chergui to fire home at the near post.

Nice introduced Elye Wahi in search of a comeback, and the substitute was quickly involved in a promising attack. Jonathan Clauss found space inside the box, but his powerful effort was brilliantly tipped over by Kevin Trapp.

Paris FC eventually put the game beyond doubt after another Nice mistake. Sinayoko intercepted a loose pass before Patrick Zabi picked out Vincent Marchetti, who calmly finished to make it 3-0.

The hosts comfortably saw out the remainder of the match to secure all three points and maintain their perfect record against Nice in the top flight, having now won all five meetings.

The result strengthens Paris FC’s hopes of a top-half finish if they can maintain their impressive home form. Nice, meanwhile, will need to improve their attacking output if they are to avoid another difficult campaign after surviving relegation through the play-offs last season.
