Tension, strategy and preparations for the weekly wager task dominated activities in the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house on Thursday as the housemates entered Day 32 of the “Show Ya Sef” season.
The day began on a lively note after Biggie played music into the house, prompting Sheba, Goddessa, Flora, Oyin and Sultex to dance despite the pressure of the scheduled wager presentation. The housemates had earlier completed their morning routines and a 30-minute gym session.
As preparations intensified, Abi worked on costumes using the sewing machine, while Goddessa and Sheba measured and cut fabrics for the presentation. Flora also received dance lessons from Sultex, while Ricky prepared food and Head of House Chimsom Chuka made breakfast.
Chimsom reflects on leadership
During his Diary Room session, Chimsom, who is serving his second stint as Head of House, named Tram, Ricky and Nomy among the housemates he found difficult to work with during the wager preparations.
He said he had adopted a more diplomatic leadership style during his second reign after learning from mistakes made during his first stint.
Chimsom praised Bluethopia, Sheba and Goddessa for their contributions and said he had resolved some misunderstandings with Oyin. He also disclosed that a conversation with Flora had made him realise they had more in common than he initially thought.
He described the eviction of Cassi on Sunday as unexpected, saying he considered the evicted housemate one of the strongest contestants in the house.
Bells questions Chimsom’s leadership style
Bells, in her own Diary Room session, said the ongoing wager preparations had taken a toll on her but maintained that she had played her part.
She also offered a critical assessment of Chimsom’s leadership, saying he appeared more relaxed during his second tenure. According to her, his stricter approach during his first stint generated better cooperation from the housemates.

Bells also reflected on the house’s recent “conspiracy hour”, saying she enjoyed the experience because she was saved, but observed that some relationships, including the friendship between Tram and Sheba, appeared to have suffered.
Araga also described the week as difficult, particularly after his performance in the Head of House challenge. He praised Chimsom’s leadership and described the conspiracy hour as “mind-blowing”.
Flora and Aikou’s secret Gambit mission
Another major storyline surrounding the house is the secret mission involving Gambits Flora and Aikou.
Reports on Thursday indicated that Biggie had assigned Flora a mission to convince Aikou that she genuinely had romantic feelings for him. Aikou had earlier received a complementary Gambit mission to make Flora believe that he was genuinely in love with her.
The double-blind mission means both housemates are attempting to convince each other that their apparent romantic interest is genuine, without knowing that the other is also carrying out a secret assignment.
The development has added another layer of strategy to the house as the pair attempt to complete Biggie’s challenge without exposing their Gambit status.
Final rehearsals ahead of wager presentation
By the afternoon, Yusuf rallied the housemates for another rehearsal, using a drum to call them to the lounge. Goddessa took on the role of narrator as the group ran through its presentation.
The housemates later moved to the arena for their final rehearsal before returning to the house to make last-minute preparations. Goddessa helped Temi Nkem with her costume, while Tram and Gerard played table tennis.
The wager presentation is scheduled for Thursday evening, with the housemates hoping their preparations will earn them another successful wager.
Eviction race enters final hours
The eviction race is also entering its final stage, with voting scheduled to close at 9:00 p.m. WAT on Thursday.
According to the official Africa Magic update, Chimsom, Aikou and Flora are protected from eviction, while Abi has immunity after being named Most Influential Player of the Week. Sheba was also saved through the house and Head of House veto powers.
The remaining eligible housemates are therefore battling for viewers’ votes ahead of Sunday’s live eviction show.
