President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate arrest of Prince George Buchi Nwabueze following the discovery of another alleged fake agency operating within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) identified the entity as the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, saying it was not a legitimate government agency.
ICPC Chairman, Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, disclosed this on Friday while briefing State House correspondents after a meeting with President Tinubu.
According to Aliyu, the discovery was made during an ongoing investigation into the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, reportedly operated by Adeyemi Matthew.
He said the investigation uncovered another questionable entity operating from premises belonging to the SGF’s office.

The ICPC chairman explained that office space had allegedly been allocated illegally to the purported agency within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Following the discovery, Aliyu said President Tinubu directed the immediate arrest of Nwabueze in connection with the matter.
The President also ordered the immediate suspension of three permanent secretaries over the incident.
The affected officials are M.S. Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah.
The latest development comes amid the ICPC’s investigation into the alleged proliferation of unauthorised government agencies and bodies operating within federal government establishments.
The commission is expected to investigate how the purported entities obtained access to government premises and determine the officials and individuals responsible for their operations.
The investigation is also expected to establish whether public resources were used in connection with the activities of the alleged fake agencies.
