Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has shared an update on her new facial appearance after undergoing a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure.
The actress, who recently unveiled her refreshed look, said she remains comfortable with her natural features but believes people should have the freedom to enhance parts of their appearance they are unhappy with.
Ogbodo also urged women considering aesthetic procedures to prioritise their safety and seek treatment from qualified medical professionals.
Sharing a video showing her appearance on the first day of the procedure, the actress explained that her goal was not perfection but to look refreshed, youthful and confident while still maintaining her identity.
She wrote, “Day 1 of giving my face the love, care, and attention it deserves.
“I’m not chasing perfection. I’m simply choosing to look refreshed, youthful, confident, and very much like myself.
“No hiding, no apologies, no pressure to age a certain way.
“This is my face. My journey, my choice, and baby. Are we about to glow or what?”
The actress has previously been open about undergoing cosmetic procedures.
Last year, Ogbodo underwent a tummy tuck and later had another phase of body enhancement surgery. She also revealed that the attention following the procedures became overwhelming, saying she could barely walk freely on the streets without attracting attention.
The mother of three has also undergone dental cosmetic work, which she described as a birthday gift to herself.
In a previous interview, Ogbodo explained that her decision to undergo body enhancement procedures was partly driven by a desire to regain her confidence and protect her mental wellbeing after significant changes to her body following childbirth.
She has also responded to social media trolls who criticised different parts of her body, insisting that she does not have a perfect body but remains confident in her appearance.
The actress has continued to advocate for personal choice, self-confidence and responsible decisions when it comes to cosmetic and aesthetic procedures.
