The Yenagoa Local Government Council has launched the construction of a Primary Health Centre in Ikolo Community with an objective of enhancing access to healthcare facilities by the citizens of the area and surrounding communities.
The event which took place on Wednesday in Ikolo Community was spearheaded by the Mayor of Yenagoa Local Government Council and was accompanied by the Secretary of the Council, Hon. Tarila Debewari in a bid to enhance the provision of primary healthcare services within the local government.

Ikolo citizens extended a warm welcome to the government team and thanked the council and Bayelsa State Government for the provision of the facility. Citizens expressed their appreciation of the fact that the health center would make healthcare access easier for them.
Community leaders further applauded Governor Douye Diri and the Yenagoa Local Government Council for developing people-centered projects within the region.
Some of the dignitaries who attended the occasion included the member of Yenagoa Constituency I of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Mrs. Ayibanengiyefa Egba; Hon. Lecky Tamama; the wife of the Mayor, Mrs. Dedekien Boludiseyi Ndiwari; among others.
According to the council, the completion of the Primary Health Centre would improve the quality of health care and provision of basic medical facilities to the people of Ikolo and nearby areas.
