Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Bayelsa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, has unveiled the party’s strategic roadmap aimed at strengthening its grassroots structure and positioning its candidates for victory at the polls.
As part of efforts to intensify the party’s preparations for the election, Ogoriba said the APC would focus on unity, coordination, and aggressive grassroots mobilization to improve its electoral fortunes across the state.
The APC chair made this known on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, during a strategic meeting with the party’s House of Assembly candidates.
He explained that the engagement formed part of ongoing consultations designed to strengthen the party’s structures and ensure its candidates were adequately prepared for the next electoral cycle.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Ayobegha James, Secretary, Barr. Japan Udoji, and all APC House of Assembly candidates in the state.
Addressing the candidates, Ogoriba emphasized that the 2027 elections would require commitment, discipline, and a united front from all party stakeholders.
He urged the candidates to remain focused on expanding the party’s support base by engaging communities, strengthening ward structures, and maintaining close contact with grassroots supporters.
According to Ogoriba, the gathering was aimed at developing strategies that would position the party’s candidates for electoral success in the forthcoming polls.
Ogoriba also called on the candidates to work closely with party executives at the ward, local government, and state levels to ensure effective coordination of political activities and sustained voter engagement ahead of the elections.
He expressed confidence that with sustained consultations, strategic planning, and grassroots mobilization, the APC would be well-positioned to record significant victories in the 2027 general elections.
The party chair commended the governor, Senator Douye Diri, for what he described as his commitment towards the growth of the party in the state.
Also, he hailed Diri’s determination to ensuring victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.
