Rivers Welfare Ministry Deputy Director Bags FCIA Fellowship

Queen Maxwell, Deputy Director in the Child Welfare Department of the Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, has been admitted into the Fellowship cadre of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (FCIA), the highest professional distinction awarded by the Institute.

The honour was bestowed on Maxwell during the Institute’s induction and investiture ceremony held in Port Harcourt after she met the requirements for elevation to Fellow.

The Institute said the Fellowship recognises her remarkable contributions to corporate administration, high ethical standards, professional competence, and sustained commitment to excellence in public service.

With the conferment, Maxwell is now entitled to the professional designation of Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (FCIA).

Reacting to the recognition, Maxwell described the award as a defining moment in her professional journey and expressed appreciation to the Governing Council of the Institute for finding her worthy of the prestigious honour.

She said the Fellowship would inspire her to continue promoting excellence in administration and to contribute more effectively to public service.

Maxwell dedicated the honour to the Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, saying the achievement was made possible by the Ministry’s supportive work environment and the opportunities it has provided for professional growth and impactful service.

She also acknowledged the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Lauretta Davis-Dimkpa, praising her for providing visionary leadership and encouraging a culture of professionalism, innovation, and quality service delivery.

According to Maxwell, her role within the Ministry has enabled her to contribute significantly to child welfare and protection programmes across Rivers State. She added that the Fellowship would further strengthen her commitment to integrity, accountability, and excellence in carrying out her responsibilities.

The Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation also congratulated Maxwell on the achievement, describing the Fellowship as a deserved recognition of her dedication and professionalism.

The Ministry noted that the honour reflects the quality of its workforce and reinforces its commitment to building a professional, ethical, and service-oriented public institution.

It further stated that the recognition would encourage members of staff to remain committed to advancing the welfare, protection, and empowerment of vulnerable persons throughout Rivers State.
