Trading activities of crude oil by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) have hit an all-time high within the past five years, attaining a total of 1.171 million barrels per day through the efforts of Group Chief Executive Officer Bashir Bayo Ojulari.
The achievement comes amid NNPC’s one-year performance report for the period between April 2025 and April 2026. This feat has been accompanied by NEPL’s production capacity that attained a high mark of 365,000 barrels per day in December 2025.
This report reveals several key strategic moves by the firm in oil and gas business. For example, new agreements for Production Sharing Contracts have been put in place, some of which have provisions on how to develop gas in deep water regions.
