Previously, Falade had asked for increased cooperation from the police department since the construction of the 37.9-km road worth N200 billion is coming to an end. The Bonny-Bodo Road connects Bonny Island to the mainland.
Falade underscored the importance of pre-project security arrangements, especially considering that greater access to Bonny Island would entail the requirement of wider-ranging security planning.
Falade applauded the efforts of the police in maintaining security in critical facilities such as the NLNG Train 7 project, which is almost nearing completion, and appreciated the professional and disciplined attitude of the command.
The NLNG chief had confidence that the continued security of the corporation’s activities would go on bringing economic gains to the state and the country.
Bonny Island continues to be a significant center for oil and gas industry, with the liquefied natural gas facilities of Nigeria located in Bonny Island and the production of Bonny Light crude oil.
