At the Ekeremor Ward 9 All Progressives Congress APC, sensitization rally in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Hon Famous Daunemigha, described the APC as the only option.
Daunemigha who spoke among other party leaders and stakeholders at the event held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Peretorugbene Community, commended party faithful for their turnout.
The rally was aimed at strengthening grassroots connections and reinforcing confidence in the party’s leadership and its agenda of ensuring the party’s victory in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Daunemigha praised what he described as exemplary leadership style of the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who had recently visited the state on project commissioning.
He also hailed the state governor, Senator Douye Diri, and his deputy, Dr. Peter Akpe, as well as the leadership of the APC in the state.
His words: “APC is the only option and the show of unity among members is a positive signal for the party’s chances at the polls.
Also speaking, Hon. Kemelayefa Omonibeke, Engr. Prekake Gede, and Ebiye Atou in their goodwill messages, described the turnout as an endorsement for all the party’s candidates.
According to them, the turnout also reflected growing support for the APC and confidence in its leadership.
Further, the Bayelsa Representative of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Senator Denyabofa Dimaro, revealed that governor Douye Diri’s developmental efforts were not limited to urban centers but extended to grassroots communities.
He noted that the governor’s policies and projects which he said were impactful, were being felt by ordinary citizens.
On his part, the APC EKELGA Ward 9 Chairman, Mr. Yerinmene Gede, described APC as the only viable party in ward nine, noting that the party remains the dominant political force in the area due to its strong grassroots presence and consistent engagement with the people.
Gede maintained that the party’s structure and unity at the ward level continue to set it apart from other political parties.
A motion for a vote of confidence on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Douye Diri, and his Deputy, Dr. Peter Akpe, was passed and unanimously endorsed by the crowd.
The sensitization rally was attended by Senator Denyabofa Dimaro, Bayelsa Representative of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), High Chief Deinbolouadougha Otiki Gbodo, Hon. Ebiye Atou-Chairman of Oporomor West Rural Development Authority (RDA), Mr. Enai Gbologbegha-Chairman, G-32 Principal Officers of HPMs and Treasurer of Rural Development Authority (RDA) Forum of Bayelsa State.
Also in attendance were Engr. Prekade Gede-Retired Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State Ministry of Works & Infrastructure, Hon. Kaiza Gabriel Efegi-Councillor of EKELGA Ward 9, Victor Kemekidioumene-Senior Special Assistant to the governor on general duties, Hon. Omonibeke Kemelayefa -former member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
Others were Hon. Tams Alari -Technical Adviser to the governor on special duties, Hon. Famous Daunemigha -former deputy national president of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Hon. Zion Ebimotimi, Hon. Perekebena Okoyen, Hon Selekeodudu Charly Tekearede, Prof. Ebikake and amongst others.
