Renowned Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P has officially changed his birthday celebration date.
According to the singer, He no longer marks his birthday on November 18, he now celebrates on November 30 each year.
The artist made the announcement on X on Monday, April 20. In a clear message to family, friends and fans, Mr P stated that he will not accept birthday wishes or gifts on the old date.
“Dear Family, Friends, and Fans, I’m making it official.
November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day. My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th.
This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Thank you all,” he wrote.
Peter Okoye and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, were born on November 18, 1981. They shared the same birthday for many years. The new decision comes after a long period of strained relations between the brothers following the breakup of their popular music group, P-Square.
Although they reconciled at times, the twins now lead separate lives.
