This year’s awards will encompass 32 categories in total: 18 determined by a jury, 11 open to public voting, and special honours including Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer recognitions.
A key highlight is the introduction of two new categories Best Indigenous Language (North Africa) and Best Indigenous Language (Central Africa) demonstrating the AMVCA’s dedication to broader Pan-African inclusion, cultural heritage, and representation of diverse linguistic and regional voices across the continent.
The grand ceremony for the 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards is scheduled to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, in May 2026, with additional details expected in the coming weeks.
