Eyimba Fail To Crush Rivers United

In what was described as the most eye catching game of the weekend, Rivers United and Enyimba of Aba played out a 1-1 draw in Port Harcourt. The Abia State based club went into the lead through a goal by Abiodun Joseph, but the home side equalised via Aniekeme Okon just before the break.

‎The match between Katsina United and Rangers, also ended goalless and it was the same outcome between Warri Wolves and Barau FC.

‎Kun Khalifat defeated Niger Tornadoes 2-0 in Owerri with first-half goals from Adamu Mohammed and Oghenetega Ebetomame. On the other side of the divide, Casmir Azubuike scored the only goal which gave Abia Warriors to a win over Kwara United in Aba, as John Joshua was also the match winner for Nasarawa United as they defeated Bendel Insurance 1-0 in Lafia.

‎Meanwhile, it was also recorded that the NPFL defending champions, Remo Stars‘ freefall continued on Saturday, as they lost 2-1 to Wikki Tourists in Jos. While Kano Pillars also pulverised El kanemi Warriors 3-0 to move out of the bottom four for the first time in months. Rabiu Ali, Luis Dadong, and Chiedozie Okorie with the goals for Sai Masu Gida.
