103 cultists surrender arms in Omoku

About 103 Cultists on Thursday in Omuku area, renounced their illegal activities and turned a new leaf by accepting the teachings of the bible and Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour.

The cultists surrendered their weapons to the Nigerian Police divisional headquarters in Omoku during the Salvation Ministry renunciation and reintegration program for cultists and ex-militants in the area.

The presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries Pastor David Ibiyeomie who was represented by Pastor Charles Alikor and Pastor Oye Allen led the repentant cultists to Christ and subsequently to the police headquarters for the disarmament program.

The youths will undergo bible school training and skill acquisition training.

Some of the arms and ammunition surrendered include; One pump-action, one police uniform, two army camouflage, two locally made guns, one locally made pistol and a bag of charms.

A shrine was also destroyed at Mgbede community of Omoku community in the course of the soul winning exercise.
