VDM And MR Jollof Fight Mid Air

In an unexpected mid-air drama, popular social critics Martins Vincent Otse, know as Very Dark Man (VDM) and renowned Nigerian comedian Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, commonly known as Mr Jollof engaged in a heated physical altercation onboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight travelling from Asaba to Lagos on Sunday, November 17, 2025.

‎The clash, which erupted shortly before takeoff, stunned passengers and briefly disrupted airport operations.

‎According to eyewitnesses, tension began when both men who have a long history of online rivalry and public feuds found themselves seated on the same flight. What started as a verbal exchange reportedly escalated within seconds into a full-blown scuffle, with both men trading blows and shouting at each other.

‎Comedian FunnyBone, who was also onboard, immediately attempted to intervene, jumping between the two men in an effort to separate them.

‎Videos recorded by startled passengers show the comedian pleading for calm as the fight intensified, forcing cabin crew to step in.

‎The clash prompted the flight captain and airline staff to call for security intervention. Both VDM and Mr Jollof were unboarded from the aircraft shortly after, while other passengers waited for normalcy to be restored.

‎United Nigeria Airlines is yet to release an official statement, but sources say the airline followed standard safety protocol by removing disruptive passengers to ensure the security and comfort of others onboard.

‎The clash has since sparked reactions on social media, with fans and critics reacting to the behaviour of the two outspoken personalities, many calling the incident “embarrassing,” while others describe it as the “peak of their rivalry.”
