Tacha has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the most makeovers completed in 24 hours. The record-breaking feat took place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos, Nigeria, and has positioned her as a global ambassador for the Nigerian beauty industry.
Former Big Brother Naija star and entrepreneur Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, began her Guinness World Record attempt on the evening of October 10, 2025, with the goal of completing 150 makeovers within 24 hours. The challenge was part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, a three-day event designed to showcase her creativity, stamina, and commitment to empowering the local beauty scene.
Originally planned for London with sponsorship from NYX Cosmetics, Tacha made the bold decision to relocate the event to Nigeria. She explained that the move was driven by her desire to spotlight Nigeria’s creative talent and give the local beauty industry the global recognition it deserves.
“London won’t give me the vibe I want,” she said. “It always makes sense to carry your country along.”
The event drew support from celebrities including Hilda Baci, Liquorose, and Osas Ighodaro, and was streamed live to thousands of fans. Tacha’s team confirmed that she successfully completed the challenge, surpassing the previous record and submitting the results for official verification by Guinness World Records.

In an emotional moment during the festival, Tacha paid tribute to her late mother, dedicating the achievement to her memory and reflecting on how far she’s come since her BBNaija debut in 2019.
“I’m putting the Nigerian beauty industry on a global map,” she declared.
If verified, this record will mark a major milestone not just for Tacha, but for the entire Nigerian beauty and entertainment landscape, proving that ambition, grit, and cultural pride can rewrite history.
