VDM Demands Dangote Compensate Victims in Auchi After Fatal Trailer Accidents‎

Human Rights Activist and controversial figure Martins Vincent Otse  popularly known as Verydarkman alongside residents of Auchi, Edo state have  block access to Dangote Group trucks following a series of accidents linked to the company’s trailers in the area, this was revealed in a viral video posted by Verydarkman on his official Facebook page today.

‎In a strongly worded message directed at Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, they expressed frustration over what they  described as the destructive impact of the company’s heavy-duty vehicles on their roads, coupled with reckless driving by its drivers.

‎“Dear @aliko_dangotegcon, we the people of Auchi have no choice but to put a stop to all your drivers using our roads until you take care of the damages you have caused and regulate your drivers, with all due respect”.

‎This outcry follows a string of recent road crashes in Auchi, where Dangote trucks were reportedly involved, leading to loss of lives and extensive property damage. Residents say the deteriorating road conditions, worsened by constant passage of heavy trucks, have made daily commuting hazardous.

‎Verydarkman is calling on Dangote Industries Limited to urgently compensate victims of recent accidents, and ensure stricter regulation of its drivers to prevent further tragedies.

‎”This Dangote killing in Auchi has to stop, and it stops today “. He added

‎As of press time, the Dangote Group has not officially responded to the threats, but residents insist that failure to act will leave them with “no option but to stop the movement of all Dangote trailers through Auchi.”
