Enyimba Move To Rivers State For Continental Survival

Enyimba International of Aba have stepped up preparations for their next match in the CAF Confederation Cup and revive hope for a semi-final ticket, as The Peoples’ Elephant have moved to a closed camp ahead of their clash with Williamsville of Cote d’Ivoire.

Although the match is still over a week to go, the Aba club’s management is not taking anything for granted, hence their decision to relocate the squad to Omagwa, near Port Harcourt, Rivers State, ahead of the visit of Williamsville on July 18th.

It will be Enyimba’s third match of Group C in the second-tier Africa clubs competition, but their impending visitors are top of the log with four points, followed by CARA of Congo with three points.

Though Enyimba also have three points, they are behind CARA on goal difference, such that they must win their next match in Calabar, following a win over Djoliba of Mali and a 2-0 away loss to the Congolese side.

An official of Enyimba disclosed: “We’ve moved to Omagwa, Rivers State, for camping. That’s where we are at the moment to ensure full concentration and preparation for our next match against Williamville of Cote d’ Ivoire. The match will be played on Wednesday July 18.” (Footballlive.ng)
