The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Onne Division under the Rivers State Command, has conducted its executive elections, ushering in a new leadership team to oversee the organization’s affairs at the divisional level for the next four years.
A report made available to TPCN on Friday, August 8, 2025, revealed that the election was supervised by Esimvie Osuamkpe, Deputy Secretary of the Rivers State PCRC, and Elder Collins Barasimeye, Acting Chairman of the Eleme Area Command.
In his remarks, Mr. Osuamkpe congratulated the newly elected executives and urged them to uphold the values of the PCRC.
“You should represent all that the PCRC stands for,” he stated.
Earlier, the Electoral Committee (ELECO) Chairman, Chief Casca Ogosu, and Secretary, Inspector James Abang, expressed gratitude to the State PCRC leadership for entrusting them with the responsibility of conducting a free, fair, and transparent election.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of the new executive team, the newly elected Chairman, Engr. Dick Yoko Ekiye pledged to uphold and promote the core values of the PCRC in the Onne Division.
Also speaking, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Onne, CSP Ogbadu Isaac, assured the new leadership of his full cooperation to enhance effective community policing in the area.
Those elected were Engr. Dick Yoko Ekiye as the Chairman, Dr. Okey Ewurum-Vice Chairman, Pastor Achor Friday-Deputy Secretary, Pastor James O. Adebola-Financial Secretary.
Others were Chief Sir Sunday Egbe as the Treasurer, Idris Umar, Provost, Annabel Isaac-Welfare Secretary, Divine Usang-Publicity Secretary, Ekwem Chidi Peter-Organizing Secretary, and Chidi Adindu as the Auditor.
Additional executive members include Ime Effiong Ekpo-Women’s Leader, Emeka V. Emedoro as Ex-Officio I, and Chief Monday Nkpanya-Ex-Officio II.
The Rivers State PCRC, under the leadership of Voke Emore, has continued to receive commendation from both past and current Commissioners of Police for its effective role in bridging the gap between the police and the community.
