As part of an effort geared towards improving access to quality education, schools in Rivers State, two schools in Bonny Local Government Area received educational support materials to aid learning.
Speaking at the official handing over of school furniture to Bonny National Grammar School and Government Girls Secondary School, Finima, at an event yesterday, the Senator representing Rivers West in the Senate, Dr. Ipalibo Harry, said the gesture was aimed at improving the existing facilities at the schools
She reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that students in her Senatorial District received the necessary support needed to ensure learning takes place in a conducive environment.

The items handed over to the schools included six hundred and forty-eight school desks made with HDF materials and iron frames, fifty sets of office furniture for teachers, Fifty whiteboards and Fifty packs of whiteboard markers with each containing twelve markers.

Students, teachers and parents who were on ground to receive the teaching aids from the Senator expressed gratitude to her for the timing of the gesture.
