FG Reaffirms Commitment To Ogoni Demands Before Oil Exploration Resumes

The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to implementing the conditions presented by the Ogoni people of Rivers State as part of ongoing dialogue aimed at paving the way for the resumption of oil exploration in the area.

Director General of Energy Security in the Office of the National Security Adviser, Ojukaye Flag-Amachree, gave the assurance during an inspection tour of key projects across Ogoniland.

The visit, carried out by members of the Ogoni Dialogue Team, is part of efforts to build trust and demonstrate government sincerity.

“The federal government and the people of Ogoni have been discussing, we have an ongoing dialogue in terms of resumption of Oil Exploration in Ogoni land and critical facilities, where agreed upon by the federal government and the communities to help with building confidence in this genuine initiative to resume oil exploration.
