Nigerian Crowned World’s Best in English at Global Championship

In a moment of pride for Nigeria, 17-year-old Nafisa Abdullah Aminu from Yobe State has emerged as the world’s top English language student at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London.

Representing Nigeria through Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Yobe, Nafisa outperformed over 20,000 students from 69 countries—including native English speakers—to clinch the coveted title. The TeenEagle competition is globally respected for testing grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and public speaking, making her win a truly outstanding feat.

“This win is not just mine, it’s for every young Nigerian girl who dreams big,” Nafisa said, radiating joy after receiving her award.
