‎House of Assembly Complex: Sole Administrator Ibas Express Dissatisfaction With Pace of Work

Rivers State Sole Administrator, Retired Vice Admiral Retired Ibok-Ete Ibas, has expressed deep disappointment over the slow pace of work at the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex project.

‎The Sole Administrator made this expression during an inspection of the project site along Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, described the current level of work as grossly abysmal, stating that the progress made so far falls significantly short of expectations and agreed timelines.

‎He further directed the contractor handling the project to immediately intensify efforts to accelerate completion, adding that he will summon the contractor for a crucial meeting to realign efforts and ensure all parties are focused on the urgent need to deliver the project promptly.

‎Speaking on government’s plans for sporting facilities in the state, Retired Vice Admiral Ibas after visiting some sporting facilities, which included the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia in Obio/Akpo Local Government Area, and the Alfred Diete-Spiff Sports Complex, Moscow Road in Port Harcourt Local Government Area, reflected on the recent impressive performances of Rivers State youths at both national and international sporting events, noting that they have consistently made the state proud.

‎The Sole Administrator stressed the importance of supporting young talents by making sports more appealing and accessible, primarily through the provision of modern and well-maintained sporting infrastructure to aid their training and development.
