Kylian Mbappé LOST 6 KG After Suffering Food Poisoning

The reason behind Kylian Mbappe’s stomach issues, which led to his absence from the first three matches of the Club World Cup, has been disclosed.

At the beginning of the tournament, Mbappe was hospitalized due to what Real Madrid referred to as “an acute case of gastroenteritis,” leaving him so unwell that he was unable to exit his hotel room.

L’Equipe has now reported that the stomach ailment stemmed from food poisoning that Mbappe experienced shortly before he departed for the USA.

He started feeling unwell prior to his trip and dealt with dehydration. However, his condition deteriorated while in the United States, as he began experiencing nausea, fever, and abdominal pain.

In the hospital, he was placed on a drip, and medical examinations confirmed that he had food poisoning caused by bacteria found in the chicken he had consumed.

As a result of this illness, Mbappe lost a total of six kilograms and was unable to participate in any of Madrid’s group matches.

He did, however, come off the bench during the 1-0 victory over Juventus in the round of 16 and against Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals, where he scored a dramatic bicycle kick in the 3-2 triumph over the Germans.

On Wednesday, Mbappe will face Paris Saint-Germain for the first time since his departure from the club in 2024, as Madrid competes against the Champions League holders in the Club World Cup semi-finals at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
