Sunbeth Energies Limited has expanded its self-service fuelling network with the opening of its third station in Ada George, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as the company seeks to improve customer convenience through technology.
The new facility extends the indigenous energy firm’s operations beyond Lagos and Abuja, bringing its self-service model to motorists in the South-South region.
The model allows customers to pay for fuel and dispense it themselves using card payments or bank transfers. Instructions at the pumps guide users through the process, while Customer Assistants remain available to provide support.
Bunmi Isijola, Chief Operating Officer of Sunbeth Energies, said the initiative was designed to give customers greater control over their fuelling experience rather than replace workers.
“Our Customer Assistants are trained to guide motorists through the process, answer their questions and provide assistance whenever needed,” Isijola said.

The company said its first two self-service stations recorded a 100 per cent transaction success rate, with no service downtime since September 2026. The performance was measured by customers’ ability to complete payments and dispense fuel without transaction-related problems.
Sunbeth Energies attributed the results to continued technical support from its partners, Techbroker and Fuelmetrics, alongside operational improvements at the stations.
The Port Harcourt launch builds on the company’s experience in Lagos and Abuja, as it seeks to establish a retail fuelling model centred on convenience, transparency and reliable service.
The expansion highlights the growing use of technology in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum market, where businesses are exploring new ways to improve service delivery and customer experience.
With the addition of the Ada George outlet, Sunbeth Energies now operates three self-service fuelling stations across the country.
