The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Abinye Blessing Pepple, has provided one million naira in business support to a young entrepreneur, Miss Minaye Ella Gabriel, to strengthen her footwear business.
Gabriel, who is the founder of MG Footwear Designs, received the financial support following a promise made by the council chairman to assist her enterprise.
According to a statement by the Bonny LGA media team, the money was presented to the entrepreneur by the council’s Protocol Officer II, Mrs. Rebecca Banigo, on behalf of the chairman.
The support is expected to help the business owner improve her operations, expand production and create opportunities for further growth.
The initiative reflects the council chairman’s efforts to encourage entrepreneurship and support small businesses within the local government area.
The statement also noted that the chairman was extending similar support to small media enterprises to strengthen their operations and contribute to economic development.
The intervention is part of efforts to empower business owners and promote local economic growth in Bonny.
The council expressed its commitment to supporting enterprises capable of creating opportunities and improving livelihoods within the area.
