Nigerian social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has alleged that celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, introduced relationship expert Blessing CEO to drug use.
VDM made the claims in a video shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday while discussing his decision to support efforts aimed at securing Blessing CEO’s release from custody.
Blessing CEO is currently facing separate legal cases involving alleged property fraud and claims of obtaining money from members of the public under false pretences. She was granted bail in both cases earlier this year.
The controversy surrounding her continued detention recently gained attention after actress Doris Ogala questioned why she had allegedly not been released despite reportedly meeting her bail conditions.
Reacting to the situation, VDM claimed he had uncovered information suggesting that both Blessing CEO and IVD struggled with drug use.
According to him, the alleged addiction contributed to a series of financial problems and decisions that eventually led to her legal troubles.
VDM further claimed that Blessing CEO allegedly sold personal assets and later sought money from members of the public as a result of those challenges.
Despite the allegations, he stated that he remains committed to helping secure her release, while suggesting that rehabilitation would be necessary if she regains her freedom.
The social media critic also urged members of the public to exercise caution regarding any future fundraising efforts linked to the embattled relationship expert.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Blessing CEO nor IVD had publicly responded to the allegations.
