As the year comes to an end, our communities remain unchanged. There is still no change.
We must ask ourselves: How do we relate this to our communities that have no unity and no basic development? We have not shown good examples of community development and unity.
We preach unity and development, but our popularity does not match our reality on the ground. We have failed.
Go to most parts of local government and villages today, and it feels like a different world. No modern markets. Empty communities. People are not comfortable in their own homes. No electricity. No good drainage system.
It is painful to see.
We must come together now for a development initiative, a collective operation to give our communities a basic model of development. Through cooperation and genuine commitment, we can lift our communities and improve their condition.
Do not forget, soon, my book “Painful Existence: Nigeria’s Endless Struggle” will be in the public domain. It will reveal what has kept us in this condition and what must be the end of it.
