Ranchers Bees FC have been handed a ₦5 million fine for violating the applicable Framework and Rules during their Matchday 6 clash with Rivers United.
The sanction follows incidents recorded during the fixture, including an alleged physical attack on a Rivers United player by a Ranchers Bees player, which was captured on video.
As part of the disciplinary decision, Ranchers Bees have also been ordered to identify the player involved and submit his details to the relevant authorities for further proceedings.
The club has until Thursday, October 1, 2026, to provide the player’s identity and is expected to fully cooperate with the disciplinary process.
Further sanctions could be imposed on the player once his identity is established and the matter is considered in line with the competition’s regulations.
The ₦5 million penalty is the immediate sanction against Ranchers Bees for the breaches recorded during the Matchday 6 encounter.
The decision reinforces the league authorities’ position on discipline, player conduct and compliance with competition rules.
Ranchers Bees FC are therefore required to meet both directives pay the ₦5 million fine and identify the player captured in the alleged physical attack.
Additionally, the club has been directed to disclose the identity of one of their players who was captured on video physically attacking a Rivers United player by Thursday, October 1 for disciplinary action.
