Hon. Linda Somiari Stewart, DSSRS, received royal blessings and prayers from the Amanyanabo of Koniju Kingdom, His Royal Majesty King Winston Alamina Odiye Oputibeya (XII), during a visit to the Okrika LGA community. Welcoming Hon. Linda and her delegation, the monarch referred to her as his “sister” and praised her consistent responsiveness to Koniju Town’s needs.
Invoking the God of Oputibeya and the God of Koniju Town, the King prayed for divine protection, wisdom, strength, and success for Hon. Linda, specifically wishing her victory in the 2027 election, where she is seeking to represent the Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The Amanyanabo commended Hon. Linda’s readiness to respond to Koniju’s developmental needs whenever called upon, citing specific projects linked to her, including the construction of the Chief Akuro Tobin Link Road, interlocking work on the Anyungu-Biri internal roads and playground, and similar work on the Owoi Polo internal roads and playground.
He also singled out her Social Intervention Fund for praise, noting its role in supporting needy and vulnerable community members, and stressed that development should ultimately produce tangible improvements in people’s lives.
In response, Hon. Linda thanked the Amanyanabo for his warm reception, blessings, and prayers, as well as the traditional leadership and people of Koniju Kingdom for their support. She reaffirmed her commitment to public service, highlighting her focus on community infrastructure, education, youth and women empowerment, social intervention, and human-capital development across Okrika and Ogu-Bolo.
She was accompanied on the visit by a number of dignitaries, including Chief Akuro Tobin (DG, Campaign Council, Okrika LGA), Dr. Sampson Parker, Chief Amangi Sunday, Chief Philemon Iwoloma Kingoli, Chief Dere Biemgbo, Hon.
