The leadership of the NDC in Rivers State, alongside party stakeholders and candidates, has raised concerns over reported cases of insecurity and attacks allegedly involving members of the party across various Local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement, the party called on relevant security agencies to urgently investigate the reported incidents and take appropriate measures to protect the lives and property of all residents, regardless of their political affiliation.
The State Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Success Jack, urged security authorities to strengthen measures to ensure that citizens can participate in political activities safely, freely and without fear or intimidation.
The party stressed the need for a secure environment ahead of ongoing political activities, calling for equal protection for all citizens and political actors across the state.
