Voting for the 2026 Ballon d’Or has ended ahead of the awards ceremony scheduled for October 26 in London.
The ceremony will mark the 70th edition of the prestigious individual football awards. France Football and UEFA will jointly organise the event.
For the men’s award, one journalist from each of the top 100 countries in the FIFA rankings will take part in the voting.
Each voter will rank 10 players from the final list of 30 nominees. The first choice will receive 15 points, while the 10th choice will earn one point.
The 2026 men’s nominees include Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe and Rodri, among several other leading players.
For the women’s award, the voting panel comprises one journalist from each of the top 50 countries in the FIFA women’s rankings.
The final results will be announced at the London ceremony on Monday, October 26.
This year’s event will also mark the first time the Ballon d’Or ceremony takes place in London. The organisers chose the city to mark the award’s 70th anniversary and honour its inaugural winner, Sir Stanley Matthews.
