The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has commenced a reconciliation exercise to resolve outstanding issues involving students’ loans under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND.
The exercise, announced by the University Registrar, Dr C.A. Ajie, follows the completion of 92 percent of loan refunds and fee settlements.
Management, led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, says the exercise is aimed at achieving full reconciliation and refund of eligible students’ NELFUND payments.
Students with unresolved loan issues are therefore required to appear before the university’s Management, Bursary and ICTC teams for verification and immediate resolution.
The reconciliation exercise is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, by noon at the Post Graduate Hall of the Postgraduate School Building.

It covers NELFUND operations for the 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions.
Students attending the exercise are expected to come with their bank statements and active bank account numbers linked to their NELFUND applications.
The university has urged affected students to cooperate with the process to ensure all outstanding issues are resolved.
