Nwinnabu Green Life Unveils Made-in-Nigeria Electric Tricycle in Rivers State

Nwinnabu Green Life has unveiled a locally developed fuel-free electric tricycle project designed to provide cleaner, affordable, and sustainable transportation for residents of Rivers State and, eventually, other parts of Nigeria.

The innovation comes after two years of research and development following the launch of a Green Energy Project in Port Harcourt. Its developers said the new tricycle was specifically designed to meet the demands of Nigerian roads, including rough and rural routes.

The Nwinnabu Green Life electric tricycle features an inbuilt high-voltage battery system designed for extended operation and several kilometres of travel on a single charge.

It also comes with enhanced security facilities, an inbuilt radio and infotainment system, and a modernized internal system aimed at improving durability, efficiency and passenger comfort.

The project is also positioned as a youth empowerment and job creation initiative. In preparation for the launch, youths from various Local Government Areas in Ogoni, Andoni and other parts of Rivers State have been selected for assembly and technical training. More young technical professionals are expected to be engaged as the project expands.

According to the developers, the fuel-free transportation system will help reduce dependence on petrol, lower transportation costs for commuters, and contribute to a cleaner environment through zero-pollution mobility.

As part of preparations for the project, an inspection was conducted on September 14 at the new Technical and Project Workshop in Port Harcourt. Preparations are also underway to clear a designated industrial site in Khana Local Government Area, which will serve as the project’s primary assembly and pilot hub.

The developers said the immediate plan is to pilot Nwinnabu Green Life in Rivers State before expanding across the Niger Delta and eventually to other parts of Nigeria.

The initiative is driven by a vision to develop transportation solutions that are “Made in Nigeria, For Nigerians,” while promoting clean energy, creating jobs and empowering young Nigerians.

The project promoters described Nwinnabu Green Life as a new generation of African electric mobility, with the potential to contribute to the future of transportation in Nigeria.
