United Bank for Africa Plc has alerted shareholders and the investment community regarding a prospective hold-up in broadcasting its Audited Financial Statements (AFS) for the initial six months of 2026, H1 ’26, ending June 30, as mandated by the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) governance guidelines.
This information was conveyed by the institution in an official notice endorsed by Bili A. Odum, the Group’s company secretary/legal counsel.
Based on the communication, the Group’s Audited Accounts and Financial Statements for the initial six months of 2026, H1’26, were evaluated and authorized by the Board of Directors of United Bank for Africa Plc during its session conducted on August 13, 2026.

“However, the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria is required before the release of the results, Odun added.
“In this regard, the United Bank for Africa Plc has requested and obtained approval of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) for an extension of time to file the Results on or before September 30, 2026, subject to obtaining the requisite regulatory approvals for the publication of its Audited Financial Statements (AFS).
“The Bank’s insiders are hereby reminded that the previously declared Closed Period in respect of transactions in the Bank’s securities remains in effect until twenty-four (24) hours after the publication of the Results,” the statement noted.
