Osasuna were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw against Levante at the Estadio El Sadar, despite creating several good chances in their opening La Liga fixture. The result ended Osasuna’s run of five straight defeats from last season, while Levante earned a valuable point thanks largely to goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.
Osasuna started brightly and almost took an early lead when Jorge Herrando’s header was brilliantly tipped over the bar by Ryan. The hosts dominated possession but struggled to turn their control into clear chances.

Levante nearly punished them before half-time when Enzo Bardeli’s cross found Roger Brugué, whose volley struck the crossbar. Ryan was then called into action again, making a difficult save to deny Jon Moncayola’s curling effort.
The Australian goalkeeper continued his impressive display after the break, producing another excellent stop to keep out Ante Budimir’s powerful header. Budimir later rounded Ryan and appeared certain to score, but Aïssa Mandi made a crucial clearance off the line.
Neither side could find a breakthrough as both teams began their campaigns with a point, leaving Osasuna and Levante still searching for their first win of the new season.
