The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, DSSRS, JP, has joined members of Hart House, Owu-Ogbo, to celebrate the Fongu Mini Festival, a cultural event showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of the Ibani people of Bonny Kingdom.
The festival brought together sons and daughters of Bonny Kingdom, friends, well-wishers, and other guests to celebrate cultural traditions passed down through generations.

The Fongu Mini Festival provides an avenue for the people to reconnect with their roots, preserve their customs and promote the values that define the identity of the Bonny Kingdom.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Pepple commended the Hart House, Owu-Ogbo, for its efforts in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the people.
He stressed the importance of ensuring that younger generations understand and appreciate the customs and traditions handed down by their ancestors.

The celebration also provided an opportunity to promote unity and strengthen bonds among members of the community in an atmosphere of friendship and shared cultural identity.
The presence of the council chairman underscored the administration’s recognition of culture as an important tool for promoting unity, community development, and the preservation of Bonny Kingdom’s historical identity.
“Our culture is our identity; our heritage is our legacy,” Chairman Pepple said.
